Auburn Blvd Enhancement Project - Howe to Watt Avenue

Project Description

The Sacramento Department Of Transportation (SACDOT) and Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) have conducted a study and developed a special planning area ordinance and streetscape master plan for the Auburn Boulevard corridor between Howe Avenue and Watt Avenue. This project provides for the design and construction of a first phase project based on the streetscape master plan between Bell Street and Fulton Avenue.

The proposed project will include various transportation enhancements within the corridor including:

  • Landscaping.
  • Streetscape.
  • Lighting enhancements.
  • Bicycle/pedestrian improvements.
  • Blades signs and way finding signs.
  • New k-rail and decorative fencing along the freeway.

Tentative Schedule

Design, 2009 to 2010
Construction, 2011

Funding

The estimated cost for this project is $1.5 million. Project costs will be funded by the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Authority (SHRA).
